Set in the beautiful North Essex countryside, this quiet half acre plus site is ideally situated to explore the wonderful, unspoilt, sandy beaches of Dovercourt, Walton-on-Naze, Frinton, and of course there is Clacton-on-Sea for those who prefer the fun of the rides and the slot machines.

Harwich old town lies just five miles to the east, with its Napoleonic Fort (The Redoubt) and of course its many Naval links. Nelson lived here and the Pilgrim Fathers sailed from here on the Mayflower to start a new life in America. It is also the basin of the Stour and the Orwell rivers, with Felixstowe Container Port just over the river and the Hook of Holland Ferry Terminal at Parkston Quay

For those who enjoy the beauty of the countryside over the bussel of the towns, there is the wonders of the Constable countryside, with Dedham and Flatford with its’s famous Mill and Willy Lots Cottage made so famous by the paintings of John Constable. Here you can hire boats and row up the river through the peaceful Suffolk fields.

Nine miles to the west is the oldest town in Britain, Colchester, with it’s Roman remains and Castle which has a museum well worth visiting. Colchester has a very busy shopping High Street with most of the usual High Street chain stores, plus many unique to Colchester.
