Here you can hire boats and row up the river through the peaceful Suffolk fields.

Nine miles to the west is the oldest town in Britain, Colchester, with it’s Roman remains and Castle which has a museum well worth visiting. Colchester has a very busy shopping High Street with most of the usual High Street chain stores, plus many unique to Colchester.
